What We Like About the Service

NannyPro.com vows never to cut corners when it comes to the nannies available via their site.  Though NannyPro.com may function similarly to competitor sites like Sittercity.com and Care.com, they set themselves apart by personally reviewing each profile posted on the site.  Like most nanny search sites, NannyPro.com offers free viewing of profiles, and puts contact information and reference checks behind their pay wall.

NannyPro.com has a Best-in-Class Background check process for parents, utilizing Acxiom services for best results.  Four types of checks are available, including basic background check, advanced background check, as well as education and employment verification.  Ranging in price from $9.99 – $49.99, the background checks are priced affordably.   NannyPro.com also gives some handy tips on their background check information page to help conduct a thorough check on a prospective nanny.

NannyPro.com offers the International Nanny Association (INA) Basic Skills Exam to its prospective nannies, and noting on their profiles where they’ve passed this test.  It is an extra level of security for those who want to be sure the nanny they’ve hired has basic knowledge of childcare and safety.

What We Don’t Like About the Service

We don’t like that pricing information is available only after basic account sign-up.  There are only two levels of membership to NannyPro.com, the free level with limited access to information, and a $79.99/year membership.  A shorter duration of membership would be a good idea, especially since NannyPro.com offers fewer prospective applicants to parents searching the site.

The site could benefit from a more professional appearance to inspire confidence in their services.
