What We Like About the Service

GoNannies.com is a comprehensive nanny registry service with listings for domestic professionals of all kinds. GoNannies.com provides listings for nanny and childcare, in addition to listings for housekeepers, personal assistants, personal chefs, senior care professionals, and more.

GoNannies has a simple landing page, with search options and features prominently displayed. Their contact phone is revealed as well, a bonus for those who desire the assistance of a live person. They call this their “Anything-You-Need Live Support.” Like other sites of this nature, GoNannies is free to join for those seeking a job.

The search function on GoNannies.com consists of the familiar zip/postal code search, which will return job seekers of all kinds in a tabled list with some basic information, including a photo. It’s recommended that you use the GoNannies.com “more search options” link or the side navigation in the search results to filter by type of caregiver. Full profiles are available for viewing to all users, and contact information is behind the pay wall.

GoNannies.com provides free preliminary background checks, though they do stress this is only to narrow your candidate list. They recommend a full background check for your final candidate. You can also obtain supplemental background checks through their service, checking driving records, employment, education, etc.

Pricing is affordable relative to competitor sites. A generous 30-day trial gives you limited access to features. Prices range from $49-$149 for a la carte membership options (without full background checks), and $109-$229 for a GoNannies.com package (including varying levels of background checks). The ability to fully customize your membership is a nice bonus.

GoNannies.com has a “Double Guarantee” that they offer to their customers. Not only do they promise you will find your “ideal” candidate, you will also keep that candidate (with some commonsense restrictions).

What We Don’t Like About the Service

The Family Resource section of this site is on the thin side, though they do provide a comprehensive Candidate Hire Kit. While this kit is helpful in the “nuts and bolts” paperwork side of hiring, some more robust informational articles would be useful.

GoNannies.com could benefit from recruiting more service profiles to produce more plentiful results for highly targeted searches. Some searches we tried produced fewer results than we would have liked.
